If it drips on cold clear mornings and stops when it warms up, it is usually condensation on an old single-pane or acrylic unit, and the cure is a modern insulated glass skylight, not sealant. If it comes in during or right after rain, it is a leak, and the assessment tells you where.
Usually not for long. Builder-grade deck-mounted units fail at the seals and the flashing, not at one spot. We will tell you if yours is the rare exception, but the right answer on most of them is a new unit on a proper curb or flashing kit, and we price that on the spot.

It depends where the pitch actually sits. A genuine pitched roof takes a deck mounted unit with step flashing. A low slope or flat section takes a curb mounted unit up on a curb. Getting that call wrong is the most expensive mistake on this kind of house, so we look before we quote.
Replace. Once the seal has gone the glass cannot be recovered, and on a sealed glass unit there is no dome to swap. Replacement on a sound curb starts at $2,079 installed, and a fogged fixed unit is a good moment to consider a venting or solar venting one instead.
