We are an official VELUX dealer and a VELUX Trained & Approved installer, working across New York since 2005. That means two things worth knowing: we can put our hands on the entire VELUX line rather than whatever a supplier happens to stock, and we install it the way the manufacturer's warranty assumes it will be installed.
| Product | Where it belongs | From |
|---|---|---|
| FCM fixed, curb-mounted | Flat and low-slope roofs — most of New York City. Sits on an insulated curb above ponding water and snow. | $474 incl. tax |
| VCM / VCS / VCE venting, curb-mounted | Same flat roofs, when the room needs an exhaust path — kitchens, baths, laundry. Solar versions carry a rain sensor and need no electrician. | $983 manual |
| FS fixed, deck-mounted | Pitched shingle roofs. Always installed with the matching step-flashing kit — no exceptions. | $807 incl. flashing |
| VS / VSS / VSE venting, deck-mounted | Pitched roofs where you want fresh air as well as light. | $1,165 |
| Solar venting | Fresh air with no wiring run. Shade and remote included, closes itself in rain. | $1,890 |
| Sun Tunnel (TGR / TMR / TLR) | Hallways, closets, small baths — daylight through framing a full skylight cannot pass. In and done in a day. | $366 |
| Roof windows (GGU / GPU / GXU) | Attic and top-floor conversions. In-reach opening units, egress-rated sizes available. | $904 |
| SkyMax (GSM) | Large-format glass where you want the opening to feel architectural. Stocked to 48"×96", custom to 35 sq ft. | $3,213 |
| Copper pan-flashed classics | The brownstone answer — flashing built in, and the finish landmark review tends to accept. | $396 |
| 350-series custom ridge, hip & pyramid | Commercial and large residential. Engineered to the opening, finished to spec. Commercial details → | quoted |

A VELUX skylight is a well-made unit. Almost every failure we get called out to is not the unit — it is how it met the roof.
The most common one: a deck-mounted skylight installed without its step-flashing kit, or with generic flashing improvised on site. It looks finished. It passes a glance from the ground. It leaks in the second or third hard rain, and by then the framing underneath has been wet for months. Every deck-mounted quote we write already includes the flashing kit, which is worth checking line by line when you compare bids.
The second: the wrong size ordered. VELUX sizes are specific, and a unit that is close but not right either gets forced into an opening or sends you back to reorder. Our Skylight Finder matches your measurements to the exact unit before anyone spends money.
The third: a dome swapped onto an old curb. We don't do those — a new dome on old framing and old flashing cannot be sealed or warrantied honestly. More on repair versus replacement →
You or your contractor are installing. We size it to your exact opening, include the right flashing, and quote it — so you don't buy the wrong unit twice.
The whole job — unit, flashing, roof, interior finish — with a 10-Year No Leak Warranty and a 5-Year Labor Warranty on top of the VELUX warranty.
Motors, controls, rain sensors, shades, remotes, weatherstripping. We carry the parts and we know the units.
